My job is to create your story, but here’s mine…
My name is Adam, a photographer of people, places and projects. I live near Sheffield with my beautiful wife, Victoria, and my little man, Elijah Rex. In my spare time I love travelling and cycling either with my family or out on my mountain bike with my friends.
My passion for photography started when I was 10 years old, my sister was a keen amateur and I inherited her old Polaroid cameras (now somewhere in the loft). I made the switch to digital in 2005 after studying portraiture photography and shot my first wedding in 2008 for a friend. I take on a maximum of 30 weddings a year to keep a nice balance in my photography work. I creatively edit all my own work, something I am very passionate about.
- To provide a dedicated and trusted photography services that exceeds the expectations of every customer.
- To understand the importance of every shoot.
- To understand the role that I am expected to play to ensure the shoot goes smoothly.
- To work tirelessly before, during and after every shoot.
- To have the ability to take the unpredictable in stride and thrive amidst challenges.
- To provide first class photography services that are affordable.
A little bit more about my style…
My photography style is natural, emotive, with a little structure to document your day in the best possible way. I’m always relaxed, easy to communicate with and very organised. I’m 100% committed to every photography job and always fully understand the requirements. For my commercial work I take a similar approach by working closely with the client, and introduce advanced photography techniques when required. For example, architectural photography involves creative lighting and thoughtful composition, although the style is often based on the brief and type of product, service or event.
For every wedding I get to know my couples as much as possible before the day to build friendly, yet unobtrusive, relationships that helps capture honest, warm and relaxed photos. I also introduce dramatic off-camera lighting for the couple photos that takes the photos to new levels of detail and clarity, making the most of the venue surroundings. I’m always on the lookout for old things and textures, such as old doors, trees, barns, basically anything that provides contrast to that beautiful dress.
What photography means to me…
Photography fulfils my needs to be creative, visit new places, learn new things and make new friends. It is always a privilege when I am asked to photograph a couples wedding day and it brings me great joy to deliver the final gallery and album. This is why I want to keep photographing beautiful moments, showing your best work and telling the story of your perfect day.
