HOTEL VAN DYK BOUTIQUE WEDDING | LOUISE & PAUL

Date: 7th April 2017
Ceremony and Reception: Hotel Van Dyk boutique wedding venue, Derbyshire

Today’s wedding blog goes behind the scenes at Louise and Paul’s wonderful day at Hotel Van Dyk.  The brown colour scheme that the couple had chosen was a prefect fit with this stunning boutique venue.

When I met the girls in the bridal suite the first thing I noticed was the bandaged hand of the smiling bride.  Now, most brides would be devastated to have fallen and badly cut their hand the day before their wedding, but not Louise.  She just laughed it off and called it her Michael Jackson hand!! 🙂 This sums up the couple, super relaxed and just genuine down to earth people.

I always love meeting the little ones at weddings, you never know how they will react to being behind the lens.  The little cute flower girls were brilliant all day, constantly smiling and happily posing.  The bride looked simply stunning in a very elegant dress from Mirage Couture in Kiveton, complimented by beautiful bouquet from First for Flowers, also in Kiveton.

When I went to meet Paul he had just arrived in the best mans Porsche so we took some photos of Paul pretending that the car was his!! Sorry Paul.  When the guests started to arrive I knew it was going to be a wonderful day with lots of laughs.  However, I never expected the grooms friends to throw him in a wheelbarrow (okay, maybe I planted the seed).  This was just one of many hysterical moments and Paul’s friends were on top form all day.

The day was a laugh a minute and I really enjoyed working with these two lovebirds.  They are lovely people and made my job easy throughout the day.  When I was leaving the evening was in full swing with Paul busting some quality moves on the dancefloor with MJ!! 🙂

Thanks again to the couple for picking me and here are a few photos of their beautiful day…
