RED BRICK FARM HOUSE WEDDING | TIA & MATT

Reception: Red Brick Farm House Wedding, Peafield Lane, Nr Edwinstowe, Mansfield, Notts, NG20 0EW
Ceremony: Saint Josephs RC, Shirebrook
Date: 27th May 2017

I first met Tia and Matt at a wedding fayre and immediately built up a good rapport with the couple.  Tia was quick to point out a typo on one of my flyers so I offered her a job as my proof reader, which we had a good laugh about.  Being a perfectionist myself I knew we would get on well.

During the pre-wedding shoot it was great to get to know more about Tia & Matt as they are such friendly and down to earth people.  Tia suffers with an hearing condition but she was a natural at mimicking my poses. What was apparent from the first meeting was the respect and love they had for each other.

It was a church wedding so the bridal party were all getting ready at the couples home in Shirebrook.  We had a videographer team working with us that day so the space was somewhat limited, but we did our best and everyone was in great spirits.  That was until the wedding car broke down on the return trip to pick up the bride.  I was about to offer my services as chauffeur, but luckily the driver managed to get the old motor working.  Phew.

As a wedding photographer you have to control the day but there are often things that happen out of your control, such as the elements, but often these events can recall memories of beautiful days.  That was certainly the case for Tia and Matt who embraced what was a very windy day in the land of Robin Hood.  Despite these minor set-backs Tia remained in great spirit and throughly embraced the occasion, and it was obvious that the love they had for one another would overcome any hurdle.

It was my first time at Redbrick House which is a refurbished 19th century farmhouse that has a warm and friendly ambience.  Tia had done an amazing job of decorating the venue and guests (including myself and the videographer) were treated to some amazing food. It is always a bonus when we get fed.

The evening was a great success with guests being entertained with a surprise appearances from the Swinging Waiters and then the Jersey Boys.  This got the party flowing in full swing with Tia and Matt showing everyone how it was done.  Overall the day and evening was fantastic and I really enjoyed being a part of it.  I wish the couple the best for their future together.  Here are a few of my picks from the day…
