WOOD LANE COUNTRYSIDE CENTRE | RACHAEL & LOUIS

Date: 5th November 2016
Ceremony and Reception: Wood Lane Countryside Centre, Sheffield

It is great when you meet a couple and immediately know that their day is going to be a unique and special occasion.  As a wedding photographer it’s always a refreshing change to do something a little different, and Wood Lane Countryside Centre was the perfect location for this whimsical wedding.  This gorgeous Georgian building and beautifully restored farm yard offers a exclusive and private location for weddings, and great catering from the hard working staff.  I was very fond of the deep red doors that provided lovely contrast to the white brick building and ideal backgrounds for the photos.

The morning bridal preparations look place in the luxurious Leopold Hotel.  Rachael looked stunning in her dress, complimented by beautiful red flowers and a classic birdcage veil.  The journey from the hotel to Wood Lane took a little longer than expected due to traffic, and many grooms might have started to sweat a little at this point.  But there was never any doubt she would soon arrive in her little car, as these two are perfect together and very much in love.

Even though it was November the grounds still had shades of autumnal colours and it actually felt like a fresh autumn day.   The day had all the ingredients for a wonderful wedding, perfect location, happy guests, great staff and a bride and groom who were a pleasure to work with all day.

Louis played a corker on his best man in the ‘lets jump on 3’ photo below.  Later on we had some good fun with the sparklers, although the light painters weren’t on top form. Here are a few of my favourite photos from this amazing day…
